BISE Multan publishes one of the longer position holder lists in Punjab because it names toppers separately for the science and humanities groups as well as for boys and girls.

The list names the students who took first, second and third position overall, and the board also names toppers separately for the science and humanities groups and for boys and girls. Each entry gives the position, roll number, student and father name, the institution the student attended, and the marks obtained out of a total of 1200.

Being named a position holder is decided on the aggregate of SSC Part 1 and Part 2, which is why these students are announced a day ahead of the main result. The board holds a ceremony for the toppers, and schools use the list for their own prize distributions and admissions publicity.
