Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how to delete your account and personal data from Taleem360 — covering both the Taleem360 Android app (Taleem360 - Books and Entry Test, published on Google Play under the developer account taleem360.com) and the taleem360.com website. You use a single account across both, so deleting it in one place removes it everywhere. You can read and follow these steps without logging in and without reinstalling the app.

How to delete your account

You can permanently delete your account yourself, in the app or on the website — whichever is easier for you. Both routes use the same system, so the result is identical.

In the Taleem360 Android app

  1. Open the app and make sure you are signed in.
  2. Open the side menu (the navigation drawer) or tap your profile, then choose Edit Profile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the Edit Profile screen and tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm in the dialog that appears. If your account has a password, you’ll be asked to enter it to confirm it’s really you. If you signed up with Google (a social login and never set a password), no password is needed — you simply confirm.
  5. Once deletion succeeds, the app removes everything stored on your device for Taleem360 — your sign-in session, downloaded books, saved bookmarks, and cached data — and restarts fresh.

On the taleem360.com website

  1. Log in to your account at taleem360.com.
  2. Open your profile or account settings.
  3. Choose Delete Account and confirm. As in the app, accounts that have a password will be asked to re-enter it.

Prefer to ask us? Request deletion by email

If you’d rather we handle it, or you can no longer sign in, email us at [email protected] from the email address registered to your account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to verify your identity before we proceed, to protect your account from unauthorized deletion.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

  • Your personal account information — full name, email address, username, user ID, and account password.
  • Your profile details — your “about” text, your social links, and your chosen avatar.
  • Your activity and content tied to the account — all book ratings you submitted, the text of any reports you filed (reason and comments), your favorites, and your in-app search history.
  • Any books you uploaded or shared, including the stored book files and thumbnails.
  • Your saved sign-in session and access tokens.

In the Android app, deleting your account also clears everything the app stored on your device, including any downloaded books, bookmarks, and cached content.

What we may keep, and for how long

A limited amount of data is not removed by account deletion. We keep it only for security, fraud prevention, and to meet our legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations. Where feasible, this data is disassociated from your identity.

  • Messages you sent through our Contact form (which may include a name, email, phone number, and your message) are kept as standalone support records and are not part of account deletion. If you would like these removed as well, please say so in your email request.
  • Data held by our service providers. Analytics and crash-diagnostics data processed by Firebase, the advertising identifier used by Google AdMob (in the app), and advertising cookies used by Google AdSense (on the website), are governed by Google’s own retention policies and your ad settings. This data is not tied to your name or email and is not removed by deleting your account. You can reset or limit your advertising ID in your device settings, and manage ad personalization via Google’s Ad Settings (adssettings.google.com) or your browser.
  • Residual copies of account data may remain in our encrypted backups and routine security and operational logs. These are purged within up to 90 days of your deletion request.

Delete only some things, without closing your account

You don’t have to delete your entire account to manage your content. While signed in, you can:

  • Remove a book from your favorites at any time.
  • Delete books you have downloaded from your device.
  • Change or update a rating you previously gave a book.

If there’s other content you’d like removed and can’t do yourself, email us at [email protected] and we’ll help.

Before you start

There’s nothing you need to cancel first — Taleem360 is free and has no paid subscriptions. Just remember that deletion is permanent, so download or save anything you’d like to keep before you begin.

Please note: this is permanent

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Your access is removed immediately, and your data is erased from our active systems straight away, with any remaining backup and log copies purged within the retention window described above. We cannot recover a deleted account or restore your profile, ratings, favorites, uploaded books, or any other associated data. If you’d like to use Taleem360 again later, you’ll need to create a new account.
